Why a Chuppah?The chuppah is a physical manifestation of an encompassing G-dly light.In the presence of this light, a miracle takes place:two finite and opposite beings become one.
The camera I used, another photo and more inside!______Behind the photo: G-d always has photogenic surprises ‘around the corner,’ and therefore I do my best to always leave home with a camera. This week I walked by Lubavitch World Headquarters and noticed a wedding ceremony. Sneaking behind a metal gate I managed to get a photograph of the chuppah.Below is another photo:

A Bris In The Military

A hearty thank you to Rabbi Levi Heber of Crown Heights, NY for this week’s Meaningful Monday photo.Rabbi Heber is a Mohel (one who performs the Jewish rite of circumcision) and the founder of Circumcision.net – a website for Jewish parents and anyone interested in learning about the laws, customs and meaning of the mitzvah of Brit Milah.The photograph was taken last week at the United States Military Academy at West Point who hosted a Bris ceremony for the son of a medic who served in Iraq.
The CovenantThe Jew is bound with a covenant engraved deep beneath his conscious self, even on his very flesh; an eternal bond G‑d established with Abraham.
