Ready, set… go!
Even when perched at great spiritual heights, we must be ready to forego our own high, and fly off to help another.
This week’s photo shoot inside…______Behind the photo: This week’s photo was taken in Central Park, NYC. Truth is: the photo is from my archives. After investing hours into a photo shoot for this week, the final result did not meet our expectations. Below is a photo from the shoot at Oneinfocus HQ’s.

Ready, set… go!
Taken in May of 2008, the photo below has the most views on Oneinfocus.
When the Children of Israel were taken out of Egypt, they knew G-d was playing an intimate role in their lives.
Nothing has changed. G-d still loves each and every child of Israel.
We have every reason to smile!______Behind The Photo:Credit is due here. And it’s all to my wife Sarah. We were in Williamsburg (Brooklyn, NY) leisurely strolling down a side street. There was a group of young children ‘hanging out’ on a stack of milk crates – perhaps on their lunch break from school. As we passed by, Sarah spotted the children; “Michoel this is a photo – take it!” As I took out a pocket camera from my bag they noticed us and immediately posed for the occasion.Interestingly the photo was taken with a 2005 Canon point and shoot. If this is […]
Preparation for this week’s Shabbos email started with a trip back to the toy store. This time on the shopping list – white cardboard.I found an old tambourine, laid down the cardboard and set up a flash on a light stand 10 feet behind the object!
In Egypt, the Jewish women prepared tambourines with sheer faith, knowing that G-d would perform miracles.
Today too it will be the faith and courage of the womenthat will lead us to the ultimate redemption.
Behind the caption: With Pesach approaching, (did we just convey a hint for next week’s photo?) a photo that illustrated the exodus from Egypt was fitting. The caption is based on Parshas Beshalach in the book of Exodus. The Torah reads, “Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and […]
Team Oneinfocus spent more than 24 hours emailing back and forth deciding which photo to use for this week’s Shabbos email. The photo below taken recently in lower Manhattan, NY took home the gold.
The construction of the Sanctuary represents not only a physical buildingbut also a spiritual one:That G-d shall have a dwelling place in the heart of every Jew.
Taking home the silver medal:Snowman, Brooklyn NY.Feel welcome to share your thoughts on the above photos in the comments section.Behind the caption:In this week’s Parshah, Terumah we read about the construction of the Mishkan (Tabernacle). G-d commands the Jewish people, “Make Me a Sanctuary, and I shall dwell in them.”The Torah is eternal and thus so are it’s messages. Hashem wanted not only a physical dwelling place but also an inner sanctuary. Judaism is not only […]
